BAY MINETTE, Ala. - Coastal Alabama Community College announces a series of updates involving new athletic facility developments and renovations across three campuses, reinforcing the college's dedication to delivering outstanding academic and athletic opportunities. These projects are designed to elevate the student experience, enhance athletic performance, and enrich campus life for students, faculty, and visiting fans alike. All upgrades are scheduled for completion within the upcoming academic year.
"The upgrades to these athletic facilities represent the work being done across the footprint of Coastal Alabama Community College," said Coastal Alabama President Dr. Aaron Milner. "We have completed major projects throughout each of our campuses, and we expect the quality of facilities being built and maintained to assist in recruitment of outstanding student-athletes. In addition, any parent or prospective student visiting one of our campuses immediately witnesses the commitment we have to providing an outstanding educational experience."
Bay Minette Campus (Coastal Alabama South): New Baseball and Softball Hitting Facility
The Bay Minette Campus is set to receive a state-of-the-art baseball and softball hitting facility for the Coastal Alabama South Baseball and Softball programs. Designed to support year-round training, the facility will feature multiple batting cages, pitching areas, and performance spaces tailored for student-athletes. In addition to the training area, the facility will include:

Coaching and administrative offices to support athletic staff and daily operations.

Public restrooms for convenience during practices and events.

A fully equipped concessions area to enhance the fan experience during games and scrimmages.
This development will significantly improve training resources and reinforce the campus's role as a hub for baseball and softball.
Brewton Campus (Coastal Alabama North): New Press Box and Stands at Baseball Stadium
The Brewton Campus is receiving a major upgrade to its baseball stadium with the construction of a new press box and the installation of spectator seating. These improvements will:

Enhance media and announcer capabilities with a fully equipped, elevated press box.

Provide increased comfort and seating capacity for fans and families.

Create a more professional and welcoming environment for home and visiting teams.
In addition, a building for restrooms and concessions is also in the works and will be located next to the new bleachers behind home plate. This project will elevate the game-day experience and offer new opportunities for athletic events and community engagement for the Coastal Alabama North Baseball program.
Monroeville Campus (Coastal Alabama North): New Gymnasium Roof Installation
At the Monroeville Campus, Coastal Alabama is investing in the long-term maintenance and functionality of its athletic infrastructure by installing a new roof on the campus gymnasium, primarily used by the Coastal Alabama North Men's and Women's Basketball programs and Cheerleading program. The replacement will:
