BAY MINETTE, Ala. - Near the midway point of the 2026 campaign, the Coastal Alabama - South Men's and Women's Tennis teams have positioned themselves among the top contenders in the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), combining strong records with statement victories as the postseason picture begins to take shape.

Meanwhile, the women boast an 11-4 overall record and are 8-1 in conference competition, ranked No. 13 in the nation. The great first half of the season sets up a pivotal stretch of nationally ranked matchups in the coming days.

With a 9-1 conference record already in hand, Coastal - South has proven it can compete with the league's best, but the upcoming slate will test its standing on a national level.

The Coastal women have matched the men's intensity this season, compiling a strong overall record and holding a great spot in the ACCC standings.
Like the men, the women have come away with big wins throughout the 2026 campaign, with victories coming against No. 24 Itawamba, No. 15 Mississippi Gulf Coast, and No. 21 Bevill State. The 'Yotes face a challenging road ahead against the following nationally ranked programs:
- No. 20 Northwest Mississippi Community College on Mar. 5
- No. 8 Weatherford College on Mar. 6
- No. 12 Wallace State - Hanceville on. Mar. 10

Currently, Jones College's men are ranked No. 13 nationally, while the women sit at No. 9, adding even more intrigue to what is shaping up to be a pivotal day for both programs.
