CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Coastal Alabama Athletics continues its tradition of excellence in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year as 72 student-athletes were recognized in the NJCAA All-Academic Awards, while 10 athletic programs were honored as NJCAA All-Academic Teams of the Year.

The Coyotes, under the leadership of President Dr. Aaron Milner and Athletic Director Daniel Head, placed 14 student-athletes on the NJCAA All-Academic First Team (4.00 GPA), 22 on the Second Team (3.80-3.99 GPA) and 36 on the Third Team (3.60-3.79 GPA).

Student-athletes are eligible to earn academic honors by achieving an overall GPA of 3.60 or higher for the 2025-26 academic year. A total of 13,723 student-athletes across the NJCAA have been honored, with 3,799 student-athletes garnering NJCAA All-Academic First Team honors after achieving a perfect 4.00 GPA.

Of the 72 honorees from Coastal Alabama, 42 represented Coastal Alabama - South (Bay Minette) while 30 represented Coastal Alabama - North (Brewton and Monroeville).

Among Coastal Alabama's athletic programs, Coastal - South Baseball led the way with 11 selections, followed by Coastal - North Women's Volleyball (9), and Coastal - South Softball (7), highlighting the department's commitment to academic excellence across multiple sports.

In addition to the individual honors, 10 Coastal Alabama athletic programs earned recognition as 2025-26 NJCAA All-Academic Teams of the Year, an award presented to programs achieving a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher.

• Coastal Alabama - South Women's Basketball — 3.13 GPA
• Coastal Alabama - North Women's Cross Country — 3.29 GPA
• Coastal Alabama - South Softball — 3.40 GPA
• Coastal Alabama - North Softball — 3.09 GPA
• Coastal Alabama - South Men's Tennis — 3.54 GPA
• Coastal Alabama - South Women's Tennis — 3.55 GPA
• Coastal Alabama - North Women's Tennis — 3.78 GPA
• Coastal Alabama - North Volleyball — 3.51 GPA
• Coastal Alabama - South Volleyball — 3.27 GPA
