Alyssa Singleterry joins the Coastal Alabama - South Softball program ahead of the 2027 season as an assistant coach under head coach Mallory Radwitch.

A native of Waynesboro, Mississippi, Singleterry graduated from Wayne County High School in 2015 after a successful prep softball career. She then continued her playing career at Coastal Alabama Community College in Bay Minette, Ala., where she played shortstop for Radwitch from 2015-17. During her two seasons with the then Sun Chiefs, she earned Dean's List honors both years while completing her Associate Degree in 2017.

Singleterry transferred to Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama, where she spent two seasons as the Hawks' starting shortstop under head coach Casey Chrietzberg. She was a two-time USA South Athletic Conference West Division selection and was named to the Dean's List both years. She graduated from Huntingdon with a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science.

Following her collegiate career, Singleterry competed in the American Softball Association (ASBA), a post-collegiate summer league, after being selected 47th overall in the league's draft. Playing primarily in the outfield, she earned ASBA Defensive Player of the Year honors and was selected to the league's All-Star Game.

Singleterry then began her coaching career as a graduate assistant at Alabama State University under head coach Todd Bradley from 2019-21. During her tenure, the Hornets captured the 2021 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Championship. While at Alabama State, she earned a master's degree in Applied Technology.

After completing her graduate studies, Singleterry returned to her hometown of Waynesboro, where she served as the head softball and volleyball coach at Wayne County High School from 2021-26 before returning to Coastal Alabama to begin her collegiate coaching career.
