Head Men's Basketball Coach, Robby Robertson, enters his 26th season coaching and 9th season since taking over as head coach for the Coyotes. He replaced his father and hall of fame coach, Jack Robertson, whom the gym is currently named after. Since accepting the role in 2016, Robby hasn't skipped a beat winning over 150 games overall including a runner-up finish at the ACCC Tournament in 2023.
Under his leadership and guidance, Coach Robertson has helped over 30 athletes continue their education while playing at the next level. He has also helped coach multiple athletic and academic award recipients including the 2023-2024 ACCC Division I Player of the Year & Alabama Sports Writer's Association (ASWA) Community College Athlete of the Year.
Robby, a Faulkner State alumnus, played basketball and baseball as a student-athlete in Bay Minette before finishing his athletic career playing basketball for the legendary coach, MK Turk, at the University of Southern Mississippi. He is married to Celeste Bagwell Robertson, who also works on staff at Coastal Alabama as the Director of Student Development. Together they have three children, Jackson (18 years old), Cohen (16 years old) and Lila Grey (11 years old).
