Caitlin McRee joined the Coastal Alabama - South Softball staff as an assistant coach in the summer of 2024 and enters her second full season with the program in 2026.
The Mobile, Ala. native graduated from Baker High School where she was a NFCAÂ High School All-American and three time All-County, All-State, and All-Region honoree. Upon graduation, she attended Coastal Alabama CC in Bay Minette where she played from 2019-2021. During her time with the formerly known Sun Chiefs, McRee was an All-Region Infield selection, a NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete, a NJCAA Academic All-American, and a two time ACCC Commissioner's Honor Roll member.
After her time with Coastal, McRee went on to finish her career at the University of Mobile (Ala.), where she again stood out both on the field and in the classroom. On top of finishing national runner-ups at the NAIA World Series in 2022, McRee was a two-time 1st-Team All-Conference selection, an NAIA All-American, and a NAIA Scholar-Athlete. In addition to her playing career, McRee was also honored in the Mobile area as an outstanding graduate in the field of Secondary Education and was a proud member of the FCA throughout her career.
McRee graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Mobile in December 2023; earning her Bachelor's Degree in Biology and receiving her certification to teach Secondary Education. In addition to her coaching responsibilities, she recently completed her Master's Degree in Instructional Design and Technology from the University of Mobile.Â
