Mallory Radwitch, a proud alumnus, enters her 12th season as Head Coach of the Coastal Alabama softball program in Bay Minette. In her tenure, she has coached four ACCC Player or Pitcher of the Year selections and over 50 NFCA All-Region selections. She has claimed the ACCC Southern Division Regular Season Championship six times and was awarded ACCC Southern Division Co-Coach of the Year in 2019. In 2023, Radwitch led the program to the ACCC Tournament Championship game, earning them the the school's first ever bid to the NJCAA District Championship.Â
Under her guidance, the program has seen not only outstanding athletic achievement but academic achievement as well. This is proven by their recognition as an NJCAA Academic All-American team for the last three years as well as having over 30 student-athletes earn NFCA Scholar Athletes award in just the last three seasons.Â
A native of Daphne, Ala., Radwitch was a member of the 2005 Baker High School Honeybees State Championship team that set and continues to hold countless team and individual AHSAA state records. After her illustrious high school career, she attended Faulkner State Community College (now Coastal Alabama CC) in Bay Minette, where she was a dual athlete, playing both softball and volleyball. While at Faulkner she received the President's Award, was a member of the All-Alabama Academic Team, and was also a member of Phi Theta Kappa, a junior college honor society. After graduating, she attended Belhaven University in Jackson, MS, where she continued to play softball. While there she received honors for the 3.0 Blazer Club, NAIA All-Region, SSAC All-Conference and NAIA and NFCA 1st Team All-American Honors. During her days with the Blazers, she set school records for most home runs in a season (18), and highest batting average in a season (.485). She also ranks among top ten all-time in RBIs, Slugging Percentage, Hits, and On Base Percentage. For her achievements, she was inducted into the Belhaven University Sports Hall of Fame in 2022.
After graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, she then joined the Belhaven staff as a graduate assistant for two years. In 2010, she and the coaching staff received NFCAÂ / NAIA East Region Coaching Staff of the Year. In 2011, she received her Masters Degree in Public Administration from Belhaven University. In 2017, she was also a member of the coaching staff for the NJCAA USA All-Star Team that competed in the prestigious Canada Cup.
Other than her coaching responsibilities, Coach Radwitch is the huddle coach for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Coastal and received the FCA MVP award in 2021 for her service to the organization. In addition, Radwitch also teaches in our Health/Physical Education department.
She currently resides in Spanish Fort, Ala. with her husband, David, and their three sons, Bryce (12), Brantley (9) and Brendan (3).Â
