Coastal Alabama Community College - South

Amber Wimberly joins the Coastal Alabama - South Women's Basketball program as an assistant coach and begins her first season coaching at the collegiate level ahead of the 2026-27 season. A former collegiate point guard, Wimberly played two seasons at Shelton State Community College (Ala.), earning MVP honors as a sophomore while helping lead the program to a 63-5 record. She went on to continue her playing career at the University of South Alabama, competing at the NCAA Division I level.

Wimberly holds a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from the University of South Alabama, a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Walden University (Minn.), and is a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). She brings NCAA Division I playing experience, expertise in athlete performance, and a strong commitment to player development.

A native of Daphne, Alabama, Wimberly is married to Cameron Wimberly, and together they have a Standard Poodle named Cash. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, trying new restaurants, and attending sporting events.
