DOTHAN, Ala. - The Coastal Alabama - South Men's Golf team recorded its first top-five finish of the 2026-27 season, placing fourth out of 12 teams at the Wallace Fall Classic, held Oct. 4-6 at the RTJ Golf Trail at Highland Oaks in Dothan, Ala.

The tournament's opening round was delayed several hours due to weather, but the Coyotes battled through the challenging conditions to finish the three-round tournament at 18-over par (8-over, 10-over, even par).

Coastal - South saved its best golf for the final round, shooting an even-par 288 to secure fourth place and grab its first top-five finish of the season after opening the year with a pair of sixth-place finishes.

Judah Talley led the Coyotes individually, tying for seventh place after finishing the tournament at even par. Talley opened with an even-par 72 before carding a 75 in the second round and closing with a team-best 70 in the final round.

Braden Duvall followed closely behind Talley, also earning a top-10 finish and placing ninth at one-over par with a three-round score of 217 (72, 72, 73).

Bryson Clark finished 33rd at 11-over par with a total of 227 (77, 75, 75), while Jackson Evans and Kallaway Soto tied for 38th at 13-over par with scores of 229.

Evans carded rounds of 79 and 81 before matching Talley's team-best 70 in the final round. Soto posted rounds of 76, 76 and 77.

Coastal Alabama - South finished ahead of several ACCC opponents in the 12-team field, including Jefferson State (Ala.), Wallace State - Hanceville (Ala.), Enterprise State (Ala.) and the fellow Coyotes at Coastal Alabama - North.

The Wallace Fall Classic marks the Coyotes' first top-five team finish of the season as Coastal - South continues its 2026-27 campaign on Oct. 18 at the LBW Fall Invitational in Greenville, Ala.
