ANDALUSIA, Ala. - Coastal Alabama - South Women's Volleyball's 2025 season came to a close on Thursday evening, Oct. 23 following a straight-set loss on the road at Lurleen B. Wallace Community College (Ala.), dropping sets by the scores of 25-8, 25-8, 25-13. The result capped the year for the Coyotes, who finished just one spot shy of qualifying for the ACCC Volleyball Championship postseason tournament. Coastal - South ends the year with an 11-20 overall record, while finishing conference play 5-7.

The Coyotes struggled to find rhythm offensively against a sharp Saints squad, finishing with just 21 kills to 33 errors on 75 attempts. Aleah Pickett led Coastal with four kills, while Elizabeth McMillan added three kills and a pair of blocks. Setter Anna Musgrove contributed nine assists and three digs in her final match of the season.
Haley Bingert chipped in two kills, and Maggie Shorter added a .500 hitting percentage with one kill and three assists in limited action. Defensively, Sophie Sanchez anchored the back row with eight digs, while Harper Cooley and Anique Self each recorded five.
LBW hit an impressive .338 as a team, led by Moriah Gooden's seven kills and Jadyn Britton's six. The Saints tallied 12 aces as they controlled tempo from the service line throughout the evening.
While the loss was a tough ending, the Coyotes showed growth throughout the 2025 campaign with a young roster and remained in postseason contention until the final week of play — a testament to the team's fight and steady improvement under head coach Ritchie Dulaney.
