FOLEY, Ala. - The Coastal Alabama North and South Men's Golf teams competed at the Glenlakes Invitational on March 10-11, competing in three rounds at the Glenlakes Golf Course in Foley, Ala. The two-day tournament was hosted by Jefferson State (Ala.) and was played on a par 72 course.
For Coastal South, the Coyotes managed to finish tied for 10th out of 16 competing teams, while the Coastal North Coyotes finished closely behind in 12th overall. The two teams finished just nine strokes away from tying.
Coastal South Finishes
For Coastal South, the team was led by sophomore Jake Temple who placed 19th overall in the tournament. Temple was the highest finisher from either team at Coastal Alabama and ended his three-round tourney with a +10. He shot an impressive 69 (-3) in round three for his best round of the week.
Temple was followed by Brant White in 28th and Zachary Smith in 44th. White recorded a +14, while Smith finished +21 strokes above par. Austin Vilborg (63rd; +32) and Steven Shelton (65th; +38) rounded out Coastal South's finishes on Tuesday. As a team, Coastal South finished +70 strokes above par.
Coastal North Finishes
For Coastal North, the Coyotes were led by Lucas Chalk in 39th overall. Chalk put in a +19 across the three rounds, with his best round coming in round two where he shot +3. Coy Ingram and Logan Barnes followed Chalk, tying for 44th overall with a +21. Behind them was Gabe Patterson in 54th with a +25 and Jackson Cleveland in 55th with a +26.
Coastal North finished the tournament with a +79 as a team.
