MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. - Coastal Alabama - South Men's Golf, led by head coach Lee Huggins, delivered an impressive performance at the ACCC Division I Championship Tournament, finishing as tournament runner-up following three rounds of competition at Cypress Lakes Golf Course in north Alabama.
The Coyotes played consistent throughout the postseason event, shooting an 887 as a team and placing five golfers inside the top 15 to firmly establish themselves as a contender for this year's tournament title.Â
Leading the way was Judah Talley, who earned a sixth-place finish overall with a three-round total of 213 (70-72-71), finishing even par for the tournament. Talley's steady play and ability to stay near the top of the leaderboard throughout the championship earned him a spot on the ACCC Division I All-Tournament Team.
Jake Christian also turned in a strong performance, placing eighth overall with a 219 (+6), highlighted by rounds of 71, 74, and 74. Landen Savage followed in 11th place at 228 (+15), while Jacob Myrick and Shane Burns each tied for 15th, both finishing at 235 (+22).
Coastal - South's depth played a key role in the team's runner-up finish, as all five golfers contributed solid rounds across the two-day event.
The second-place result caps off a strong showing for the Coyotes on the conference stage and builds momentum towards the future.
