MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. - The Coastal Alabama - South Men's Golf team placed sixth overall out of 13 competing ACCC teams at the annual conference preview on Oct. 6-7, finishing with a team score of 893 and finishing 41 strokes above par. The Coyotes put together a strong second round of the three-round tournament, solidifying the sixth-place finish and beating out teams including Snead State (Ala.), Wallace (Ala.), and Enterprise State (Ala.). Coastal - South placed right behind counterpart Coastal Alabama - North, who took home fifth.
Jacob Myrick led the Yotes and placed in the top 10 individually, earning a spot on the all-tournament team. Myrick shot a 214 (+1) on the par 71 course in Muscle Shoals, Ala., seeing his best rounds come across the first and third rounds by shooting even. He finished sixth overall out of 74 total entrants.
Judah Talley followed Myrick with a 13th-place finish, finishing just seven strokes above par with a 220. Talley highlighted his tournament with an impressive 66 (-5) in round two. Behind Talley was second-year Coyote Austin Vilborg with a 231 (+18) in 45th, and rounding out Coastal - South's performances was Jake Christian (55th; +25) and Landen Savage (56th; +27). As a team, the Coyotes managed to shoot a 288 (+4) as a team in the second round, seeing the top four manage scores of 66, 72, 75, and 75. The second round was by far the best round of the tourney for the Yotes.
Coastal - South Men's Golf continues to build momentum three tournaments into the 2025-26 season.
LBW Tournament Next
The Coyotes are set to return to action in Greenville, Ala. on Oct. 19-21, competing at the LBW Saints Invitational. The three-round tournament will be played at the RTJ Cambrian Ridge Golf Course.
