ENTERPRISE, Ala. – Coastal Alabama - South Women's Volleyball dropped a road match to Enterprise State Community College (Ala.) on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 2, falling in straight sets, 17-25, 9-25, 16-25. The Yotes are now 0-2 in conference matches played during the 2025 season, while the overall record drops to 2-7 this year.
Coastal South struggled to find rhythm offensively, finishing with a team hitting percentage of -.107. Despite the tough outing, several players turned in notable performances. Mariah Mayes led the attack with four kills, adding five digs and a block assist to her afternoon performance. Chloe Collison contributed across the board with two kills, a team-high four service aces, and two block assists, while Ella Kyker added three kills and two block assists. Anique Self chipped in three kills and one ace. Defensively, libero Sophie Sanchez posted a team-high 11 digs, while setter Maggie Shorter tallied nine assists to pace the offense. Overall, the Yotes finished with 15 kills, 16 assists, and 23 digs as a team.
Looking to Regroup
The Yotes will look to rebound this upcoming weekend as they take part in another two-day, four-match tournament for the second consecutive week. This weekend's tournament is scheduled for Sept. 5-6 at Enterprise Parks and Recreation in Enterprise, Ala., with opponents including Meridian CC (Miss.), Bevill State CC (Ala.), Northeast Mississippi CC, and Pearl River CC (Miss.).
