Box Score MOBILE, Ala. - The Coastal Alabama - South Women's Basketball team secured a big conference road win with a 63-50 victory over rival Bishop State Community College (Ala.) on Monday night, Feb. 23, completing a regular-season sweep of the Wildcats. The overall record improves to 16-10 following the win, with the Coyotes seeing the ACCC record advance to 3-8 this season.
The Highlights
The Coyotes controlled the game with strong rebounding and timely scoring, finishing with 51 total rebounds and shooting 46.9% from the field. Coastal also held Bishop State to just 50 points while forcing key stops down the stretch to seal the win on the Wildcats' home floor.
Kalaysia Robinson put together a highlight performance and delivered a dominant outing in the paint, posting a huge double-double with 17 points and 21 rebounds, including 10 offensive boards that created second-chance opportunities throughout the game. The 17 points and 21 rebounds are season-highs for the sophomore Mobile, Ala. native. To add, Robinson also went 7-of-10 from the free throw line in the win. She currently sits tied for second in the ACCC Division I with 8.4 rebounds per game during the 2025-26 campaign.Â
Shamiya Oliver added another strong scoring effort with 17 points while grabbing nine rebounds to finish one board shy of her own double-double. Meanwhile, Tyra Caves contributed 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting, adding four rebounds, two assists, and two steals in the victory, and Brooklyn Phillips chipped in three points and four assists while helping facilitate the offense.
Maya Griffin added two rebounds, two assists, and a steal, while Kennedy Gill provided an efficient spark with seven points on 3-of-4 shooting, including a three-pointer from off the bench. Jordyn Henry helped on the glass with three rebounds and two blocks in limited action.
Coastal - South's 51-rebound game saw 23 offensive rebounds that helped the Coyotes maintain control of the tempo. The 'Yotes finished with three made threes and a 62.5% free-throw percentage in the victory, finishing with 12 assists, five steals, and three blocks as a unit.Â
With the win, the Coyotes completed the regular-season sweep of Bishop State and strengthened their momentum heading into the closing stretch of conference play.

The Coyotes are set to host No. 18 Wallace State - Hanceville next on the schedule, set for Thursday, Feb. 26 at 5:30 p.m. CT in Bay Minette. Thursday's game will be played inside Jack Robertson Arena and will be aired live on JockJive.com.Â
