JACK ROBERTSON ARENA | BAY MINETTE, Ala. - Coastal Alabama - South Men's Basketball delivered its most commanding performance in program history on Monday night, Nov. 18, overwhelming the University of Mobile (Ala.) JV squad in a 155-83 home victory behind an explosive offensive showing and relentless pressure on both ends of the floor. The 155-point showing sets a new single-game program record for the Coastal Alabama - South Men's Basketball program, with the previous high being 133 points in a win against Delgado Community College (La.) years back.
The win is Coastal - South's second consecutive victory and first at home in Jack Robertson Arena, with the overall record improving to 2-5 during the 2025-26 campaign. The Coyotes have scored above 90 points in both victories on the year, with the team winning 91-89 over Coastal Alabama - North back on Nov. 13.

New Single-Game Program Record Set
The Coyotes set the tone early and never looked back in the record-breaking performance against the Rams of Mobile, pouring in 77 first-half points before eclipsing that total with a 78-point second half. Coastal Alabama - South shot efficiently at 56.6%, moved the ball with purpose with 37 team assists, and consistently controlled the pace of play throughout the night in front of the home crowd. The team's energy on the glass was unmatched, resulting in a decisive rebounding advantage and numerous second-chance opportunities following 25 offensive rebounds throughout the contest. The Coyotes recorded 61 rebounds in total during the lopsided win.
Josh Williams, reigning ACCC D-I Men's Basketball Player of the Week, led the offensive attack with a team-high 26 points and added 10 rebounds to record a double-double, while Jaden Champion and Micah Medley added major scoring lifts of their own with Champion scoring 18 points and Medley recording 17 points from off the bench. Coastal - South showcased its depth as nine different players finished in double figures, and the bench delivered significant contributions with 87 points. A total of 13 players touched the floor for Coastal - South on Monday, with every player scoring at least four points.
Tyler Rivers and Tyler Dixon joined Williams with double-doubles, anchoring the interior with strong rebounding efforts and helping the Coyotes dominate inside. Rivers picked up 12 rebounds to go along with 10 points, while Dixon finished the night with 12 boards and 14 points. Defensively, Coastal - South pressured Mobile throughout the night, forcing tough shots, winning the hustle plays, and keeping the visitors from establishing any rhythm. The Coyotes came away with 18 steals and nine blocks against the Rams.
Additionally, the Coyotes were strong from the free-throw line in the victory, finishing the night 20-for-23 from the charity stripe. Williams led the way with a perfect 10-for-10 showing from the line as no other Coyote surpassed three made free throws throughout Monday's game.
The victory provides major momentum as the Coyotes look ahead to the Coastal Alabama Classic, set to begin later this week.
Coastal Classic
Coastal Alabama – South returns to action on Thursday, Nov. 20, hosting the Coastal Alabama Classic at Jack Robertson Arena in Bay Minette. The Yotes are set to begin the tournament by facing off with Northwest Mississippi on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. CT, followed by a 3:30 p.m. CT tip against Mississippi Gulf Coast the following day.
