Coastal Alabama - South's '25-26 Campaign Closes at Home on Thursday

JACK ROBERTSON ARENA | BAY MINETTE, Ala. - The 2025-26 season came to a close for Coastal Alabama - South Men's Basketball on Thursday night, Mar. 5, with the Coyotes falling to Shelton State Community College (Ala.) in their home finale, finishing the year short of a postseason berth in the ACCC Division I Championship Tournament.

Coastal Alabama - South, led by head coach Robby Robertson, concluded the season with an 8-21 overall record and a 3-11 mark in Alabama Community College Conference Division I play.

Despite the result on Thursday night in Bay Minette, the Coyotes battled throughout the contest and saw multiple players turn in strong individual performances in the season finale.

BJ Cooks led Coastal - South with 14 points on 5-of-12 shooting from the field while knocking down two three-pointers. ACCC scoring leader Josh Williams added 13 points after a slow start in the first half, adding six rebounds and four assists, and Terrance Adams put together his best offensive performance of the season with 11 points and five rebounds in his final game as a Coyote.

The Coyotes finished the game shooting 37.3 percent (28-of-75) from the field and connected on eight three-pointers. Coastal also finished the night with 41 rebounds,13 assists, six steals and seven blocked shots while forcing defensive pressure throughout the contest.

Additional contributors included Tyler Rivers, who provided a spark off the bench with a double-digit rebounding performance (10) to go along with six points. Micah Medley added six points and three rebounds, and AJ Thompson chipped in six points on 2-of-3 shooting from beyond the arc. Bowen Baggett was awarded his first start of the year and added three points and three rebounds, while Bryce Bracco contributed three points and two steals for Coastal Alabama.

Although Coastal Alabama - South narrowly missed the postseason, the Coyotes put together a strong offense all season long, led by Josh Williams (22.7 ppg) and Makhi Jones (18.5 ppg) who both rank inside the top five in scoring in the ACCC. The Coyotes averaged 89 points per game.

The program now turns its attention toward the offseason as it looks to build momentum heading into the 2026-27 season.
