Box Score 2 BAY MINETTE, Ala. - Mallory Radwitch, Coastal Alabama South Softball Head Coach, collected her 400th-career victory on Monday night, March 11, with her team defeating Carl Sandburg Community College (Ill.) in a non-conference doubleheader at home. Radwitch's 400th win came in the nightcap, where the Coyotes managed a 13-0 shutout victory over the Chargers. Prior to the game two win, Coastal South dominated in game one, allowing just one hit and winning, 18-0. Both games finished as five-inning contests as Coastal Alabama South Softball improves to 15-10 on the season.
Radwitch, a alumnus of Coastal Alabama Community College, is in her 12th season at the helm of the Coastal Alabama South Softball program. In her tenure, she has coached four ACCC Player or Pitcher of the Year selections and over 50 NFCA All-Region selections. She has claimed the ACCC Southern Division Regular Season Championship six times and was awarded ACCC Southern Division Co-Coach of the Year in 2019. In 2023, Radwitch led the program to the ACCC Tournament Championship game, earning the school's first ever bid to the NJCAA District Championship.Â
During the 2025 campaign, Radwitch has seen her team put together a 12-game winning streak from Feb. 14-27, with the Coyotes recording nine run-rule victories this year. In addition, Coastal South improves to 8-2 this season on its home field.
Monday Highlights
On Monday, the Coyotes cruised past Carl Sandburg, outscoring the opposition 31-0 across 10 total innings played. In game one, Coastal South managed 18 runs off 15 hits, scoring four runs in each of the first three innings. The Coyotes put the game away in the bottom of the fourth, scoring six runs alone in the frame. Taylor Hunt led the way with three hits, picking up a pair of RBIs, while Gracie Toledano collected three RBIs off a 2-for-4 batting line. Kailin Parker and Sydni Carpenter also picked up multiple hits in the rout, with Parker adding two RBIs and Carpenter scoring three runs. In total, 10 Coyotes recorded a hit against the Chargers' pitching staff.
On the rubber, Lauren Mounce was awarded the start from head coach Mallory Radwitch, tossing two innings and allowing the lone hit in the game. Gracie Toledano then entered and pitched the remaining three innings, not allowing a hit and earning the victory. Both pitchers collected four strikeouts each across the game one win.
Later in game two, Coastal South started the nightcap off with a bang, scoring five runs alone in the first inning. The Coyotes did not let up from there, adding four more runs in both the second and third frames. Meanwhile, Coastal South used three pitchers in game two, with the trio of Caylee Johnson, Sam Daniels, and Anna Griggs combining for just four hits allowed in the shutout performance.Â
Offensively, Abbie Davis was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with a walk and two runs scored, while Caroline Mathis, Kailin Parker, Taylor Hunt, and Maleah Hale all recorded two hits each. Caroline Mathis and Taylor Hunt led the Coyotes with four RBIs each in the run-rule win.Â
Following Monday night's action, the Coyotes, the coaching staff, and fans celebrated head coach Mallory Radwitch's historic 400th win.

The Coyotes have a quick turnaround following Monday's success as Coastal South is back in action on Tuesday afternoon, March 11 at home, hosting Northeast Alabama for a 1:00 p.m. CT doubleheader. Tuesday's doubleheader is a rescheduled contest from this past weekend after weather forced a postponement.Â
